What is OSAP?

OSAP is a government-funded program designed to assist Ontario residents with the financial demands of college or university.

By applying, you’re automatically considered for both grants (which you don’t repay) and loans (which you do repay).

Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for OSAP, you must:

  • Be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or protected person.
  • Be an Ontario resident.
  • Be enrolled in an OSAP-approved program at an eligible institution.
  • Be taking a course load that qualifies as full-time or part-time.
Additional support is available for:
  • Students with disabilities.
  • Indigenous students.
  • Students from low-income families.
  • Students with dependents.

How to Apply

  1. Create an OSAP Account: Visit ontario.ca/osap to register.
  2. Complete the Application: Fill out the online form for your academic year and study period.
  3. Submit Required Documents: Upload necessary documents, such as income verification and signature pages.
  4. Review and Submit: Ensure all information is accurate before submitting.
